What we collect
If you join the mailing list, we (and our mailing list provider) will keep a copy of your email address.
If you purchase a subscription, we keep the following details on file while your subscription is active:
- Subscriber name (organisation and/or contact name)
- Contact details including email address and phone number
We wlll also collect technical information, which is kept on hand for a short period while you use the subscription's services:
- IP addresses
- Names of drugs and PBS items searched for from within applications we produce
As part of your subscription, we collect PBS prescriber numbers for your subscribing prescribers. These are considered public by the Australian government. We do not publish them, or collect or store the prescriber name for the prescriber number.
What we use this information for
This information is used to identify and verify subscriptions and contact you in the case of problems, or to advise you of updates and changes. The technical information we collect is kept for short-term troubleshooting purposes.
Mailing list informaton is used to communicate information to the subscribers of the mailing list.
How it is collected and who it is shared with
We use a service called Chargebee to collect payments. The Chargebee Australia Privacy Requirements are available online. Your subscription information is collected through this platform.
The mailing list is mantained by Buttondown, and the Buttondown privacy policy is available online.
Technical information is collected by our infrastructure operators and shared with us.
How long it is kept for
We will keep the name of the subscriber and contact details for up to seven years after a subscription is closed, for audit purposes.
Technical information is kept for a short duration, typically a week.
How you can see and correct your information
You can see your subscription details at any time online, and correct them through the online subscription system.
Complaints and concerns
If you are concerned your information has been mishandled, contact us on the details above and you will receive a response as soon as reasonably practicable.
What we don't collect
Patient information (including names or Medicare card numbers) is never sent to us and never stored.
We do not collect or store information about access to this website, which is part of the reason it loads so fast.
Other privacy information
It is important to be aware that the Sierra Romeo application submits information regarding prescribers and patients directly to Services Australia, and the Services Australia privacy policy applies to this information.
